Bath Guildhall wedding...With a fire engine!
May the 4th be with you! When I arrived at Becky’s house, I was greeted by the smell of freshly baked cookies…Not a bad way to start the day! I was joined by the lovely Joanne from Blush Beautiful Bridal Makeup and Amy from Just The Hair By Amy for a morning of bridal prep, it was such a chilled morning while Becky, her bridesmaid Kerry and her little girl Imogen all got ready for the big day ahead!
Becky and Nigel had an intimate ceremony, witnessed by their families and were married at The Guildhall in Bath. After the ceremony we headed to The Parade Gardens, a short walk across the road for their group photos and couples’ portraits, making the most of the beautiful gardens and the backdrop of the weir at Pulteney Bridge!
Nigel is a firefighter, so he had arranged for a vintage fire engine to also feature in their wedding photos! While both families headed back to Melksham for the reception at The Kings Arms Hotel, myself Becky & Nigel took a little detour in the car to meet the fire engine where it was parked locally for some more snaps! As this fire engine was vintage so therefore out of service, Nigel had planned to arrive at the reception with Becky in a different fire engine, so I went on ahead to The Kings Arm’s Hotel in Melksham to await the arrival of the bride & groom with their guests!
After a very relaxed wedding breakfast, speeches followed and I must admit I did have a tear in my eye during Zachary’s beautiful best man’s speech (along with everyone else!) - But being behind the camera I don’t think anyone could see me! The evening was full of love and laughter as evening guests arrived to celebrate and dance the night away with the happy couple!
